Outsourcing or Insourcing

Offshoring or In-house?

European and American business today run mostly through the internet. Without information technology, a lot of business wouldn't run. May it be the hardware part or the software part, any company who wants to survive the harsh business world of information technology must be able to get service and support for it. To set it up, run it and keep it afloat, you must get people based near you to keep that business going.

Outsourcing and why we need it?

Many companies try to cut costs down by minimizing their in-house support departments. Some groups become individuals who would try to work on the tasks of many. Like working on the system administration of an entire network infrastructure. With the advent of advanced hardware and software, a lot of them have been made automated and require less human intervention. On other cases, they would rely on outsourcing an IT firm to do the job for them. Some work and some don't. Getting the professional ones to work on your system could make or break your business.

Though you may not have a support group or tech support, you can get one remotely by outsourcing it. But and this is a big But!. Make sure you still have some actual support on site. It pays to have someone to actually manage it. The best option is to have two a minimum of one actual support tech on site and probably 1 or 2 on a remote as needed basis. That is the best way.

There are tech support representatives in other countries such as the Philippines and in India. You can get their services at a fraction of a cost of a regular in-house employee. Having 2 or more of them since they're cheap can make up for the shortcomings of having only one. The thing here is to research in advance, plan with the outsource guy on how to work it out. It would be bad if the offshore employee didn't have a full grasp of the situation and then you just left them. Getting a good one is hard but with a little patience and some research you'll be able bag someone who can be a real asset to your company.

So plan ahead, ask them questions during their interview. questions like "what are your skills regarding this or that", "what are your prices?", "What did your previous clients say?", and other things like that. Being a little in depth will help you find if they can be of use to you.

So, having to 2 separate support would help. It need not be expensive because in the long run when problems arise it would be worth it. Imagine the days lost for having to troubleshoot hardware and debug software. And sometimes if you didn't have the actual support, you have to call in one. The costs would add up. The offshore ones would be the one taking care of the day to day tasks. What if you let an inhouse take care of that? The costs would be pretty substantial and not worth it. All in all, having preventive measures are a better way to save up on potential disasters.

So research and plan ahead. Its not that really hard than you really think it is. Wherever you are in the world, you can benefit from this. Technology is best handled by the experts. Both inhouse and remotely.

How to Start Outsourcing

The economic slump has not affected the outsourcing industry one bit. That makes these types of jobs very promising for the outsource worker and for business owners. Getting outsource workers is very intriguing and makes you want to get them. So for people who want to start outsourcing, how do you go about it?

Pick out which suits you.
Figure out what type of outsourcing service yo want to get. Preferably, an outsource service that is laborious and time-consuming are very much favored because your business can save time and money when these types of tasks are done using outsourcing.

Getting in touch with the other side
From a hundred of potential outsourcers out there, you will finally pick out your chosen partner.  He is most likely to give you a sort of a trial period. Better, ask for one. This is nice because you can get to test them out and you'll be able to talk and discuss what you want to get out of them. This is an important step and should not be taken lightly. A lot of business owners miss this step and just immediately take outsourcing agents without checking it out and discussing thouroughly what they want. Having a free trial will allow you to see if your outsource partner is up to the task.

Then if they can't cut it so to speak. Then you're able to change them with out having to worry of paying them. Then you can start the search again for another outsource provider and this time maybe you can find the one that you will be satisfied with.

The Price
Getting the terms of the price must be done as soon as possible. This way it will avoid any misunderstanding, from your part and the outsource agent's part. This is common in tasks that are numerous and time-consuming. Talk to them beforehand

Following these steps ensures you that in the future, confusion is avoided and things are clearly understood by your potential outsourcing partner. That way also you'll save yourself of the headaches and keep your sanity intact.

Save Yourself The Headache, Get A Lot Of Backup Writers

Probably excited while waiting for your outsoured writer to give you an award winning article? Eager to see the traffic boost up and the income coming in after you've posted these articles to your site or blog. Then the reality sets in. On the very day the articles needed to be posted, an email comes from your outsourcer with the message "Sorry, I'm not able to do that today, I have an emergency to attend to."

You wouldn't have a problem like that now because you've already planned ahead and got a contingency plan just for that kind of situation. Well, the thing is you hire not one but a couple of writers. Ahh, you did this plan... Right? Or not? You better be! Think like a writer. Sometimes they may act up and find that the topic you're assigning could be hard on them and they can't come up with something to write or they may be just plain busy. Sometimes the ever feared question of "can you give me a raise" pops up on their mind from time to time. Got a fix for that.

There you have it. This is the fix for that. Simply hire a lot of people to do your article writing tasks. Keep these jobs  open. Don't worry if you currently have people working on your tasks, having those tasks open means you'll have people who are willing to do that job. Therefore it one of your writers quit, then its high time somebody would take over that job.

Interview lots of writers. Thats a good tactic. Get 2 to get your projects running but be ready for some quitters along the way. When the time comes, then you have a good batch of writers ready to take over. Have these potential writers submit their work. I mean , actual writing work not just tidbits for blogs and forum posts. And don't be too eager to get them if they've too much to show. It doesn't mean that if they've accomplished a lot that they're the person to go to. Even some newbie writers can have great ideas. Just research. Now, get that team of writers ready. Get the diversity and see your site's traffic soar!

Outsourcing is the Answer

For the past 2 decades, large companies have been giving their non core tasks to outsourcing firms. From clerical work done in India which they served many different companies. Today, that small niche has now expanded to a variety of jobs.

This makes good business sense. In America, a regular employee's wage is four time that of a worker in a country like India. Some keen eyed businessmen saw these and took advantage of it. Skilled workers can be utilized in countries like India, Philippines and China at a substantial lower cost. Usually the services offered by them are at half the price which attracts a lot of companies especially small ones.

In the past, outsourcing belonged to the big blue chip companies who are able to afford them. Nowadays with the help of the Internet, skilled individuals can go to these companies virtually using the Net thus bypassing the so called "middle man" and other additional costs. One example can be taken from web developers/programmers from the Eastern Bloc countries or from India, Philippines, Pakistan. These people can directly offer their services by the use of their websites.

So any small time business can now thrive. There's even businesses run by a single person thanks to outsourcing. Software development and web development is a clear testament to that. Now, if you try that in the USA paying for their wages would be absolutely high compared to the one you've outsource in another geographic location.

Right now there are so many people who have reached retirement age (or even been laid off through their companies outsourcing) who have unique skills you may be looking for in your own country. Remember, less than 20% of all people who retire can afford to retire. The rest must supplement their income in some way, be it from doing ‘extra work’ or counting on ‘hand outs’ or help from friends and family. You could use these people.

Almost anybody can freelance a job. There is practically no age limit. As long as you can still be able to provide your unique skills to some foreigner out there. Outsourcing those skills  can practically give you top quality work at a fraction of the price.

Somewhere there are people waiting to take this job. The laid off one, an early retiree, people who are in an unrelated field, the possibilities are endless. These individuals can help you and in some cases can offer you a much lesser price than the usual fee.

So act now and get in touch with these people. With the Internet, you'll be able to clear up things and come to terms. Once both of you agree on the terms then you can start working with them. Small or big your business may be, they will be able to help make your business grow.

Outsource your Article Writing

Many Internet marketers are faced with the challenge of creating volumes of high-quality, relevant articles to support their online efforts. These articles might be needed to support article marketing, website content, newsletter or blog content. Yet due to lack of time, ability or interest in becoming an article writer, another method to complete the article writing must be found. That is where using outsource resources enters the picture. With a little bit of  preplanning and then searching, the perfect outsource support can be located. Fortunately there are many options for finding just the right outsource support to meet your outsourcing needs. Just be sure you put the right expectations in-place to guarantee you will receive the articles you need, and your resources won't feel you changed your mind and then asked them to spend many extra hours to meet your demands.

Have a hard time making articles for you to use on your websites. worried about quality work and output? Online entrepreneurs have to come up with large volumes of articles  which are of high quality and of course relevant to the topic. Take the example of a small online business owner, he cannot take all the tasks for himself.  Reasons for not being able to work on the article is due to the lack to time, doesn't have the interest or having the capability to work on that article. Therefore another person has to do it. Time to to turn to those outsourcing firms. These guys are perfect for business owners who are on a tight budget but still requires pretty good work. Plan first what you want to get out of them. Let them know what expectations and needs. Then research on the particular outsourcing firm that you are going to work with. It pays to be prepared beforehand. That way you'll get good quality work and at the same time a money saver for your online business.

How about putting these tasks up for bid? That would help. Also put up specific pricing on those articles. Put it up in based on the length and on other criteria. Most of the time the articles can be segregated and placed to specific criteria and then it can be set up for bid.

A site with article writing would provide a perfect place to find associates, to find clients who are in need for articles, blog press releases and other written materials. Read the terms and conditions carefully of these article writing sites because they can be quite strict on submission time and quality of the article.

For the people who work for you, may it be an insourced or an outsourced one, make sure that you set for them things to follow.

Make sure you get original articles written for you. Its got to be 100% new original content when it comes to outsourcing these articles form them. Remember that article sites nowadays are very strict when it comes to content. Accept nothing less.

Make sure the person you hired is the the one who is actually working on the articles. When you've read or review their work, you make take a liking to his or her style or their interest and the depth of knowledge in the topic. It would be very dissappointing if the one you're working is sending you articles done not by them but by another source.

Negotiate a guarantee with your outsource support. If you are unhappy with the articles for any reason, agree the article will be rewritten to your satisfaction. Don't take advantage of this guarantee. You may have the perfect writer for many upcoming projects. Then after pointing out insignificant problems or changing your mind about a keyword and demanding rewrites of all articles submitted you may find you have lost someone who would have been invaluable to you in the future.

Make sure you cut out a deal with them. If the work they've been giving you is unsatisfactory, agree that it will be done again. Make sure that they for you with the best articles that they could offer. Hope you hold on to that invaluable writer for many years. They spell success in your business.

The Philippines has been the country to note for companies who want to outsource their online projects at easy to reach rates. These bode well for small and medium companies. The Philippines is a strong contender as an IT nation. There is a huge talent pool that can be accessed and backed up with the latest technology to support their ever growing IT infrastructure.

The site design itself should be well made and done passionately and with the sudden surge of companies in the Philippines who offer these services, you can have a wide variety to choose from.

Get India as an Outsourcing Medium

Outsourcing is fast becoming taboo in the U.S. Some people had to change jobs in because their previous jobs are now "taken over" by people of another country and at a very much lower cost.

The nation's administration has been very much on fire because they choose to side with the big corporations rather than the millions and millions of working class Americans.  People have started to have doubts about the nation's leaders.

Statistics show that the poor people have in fact become poorer and the rich( those big companies) have gotten richer. India is instead the nation which has benefitted from all this turmoil. In the India outsourcing scene, two outsource jobs are frequently utilized. The programming jobs and the call center jobs. Call center is quite familiar because of telemarketers and credit card customer service. These jobs, considered hard and cumbersome for some American choose Indian outsourcing firms to do the hard work for them. With language not much of a barrier between them. India is quite familiar with the English language and computers have made the work of working with other people from the other side of the world much easier.

Computer programming is another profession that is heavily outsourced to Indian firms. India has worked in computer programming. Many of the United States’ largest companies outsource their programming jobs to Indian firms with great success.

A lot of Indian outsourcing firms also hire computer programmers. Also tapped in here are the large pool of expert programmers from different areas of India. Big companies from the US have sought after these computer experts. Companies like Microsoft have many satellite centers to tap into the deep outsourcing pool.

Companies like them because they run cheap. With a lot of programmers starting out at an annual of $50,000 when based in the US. In India, it is about $10,000 yearly. In the call center business it is much lower but it is still substantial when you live in India.
